Love Circle Steel Pan Ensemble Oslo is a steel pan ensemble led by Trinidadian musician Sheldon Blackman and is dedicated to preserving and performing the rich musical traditions of Trinidad and Tobago and the legacy of songs of freedom. 

We have an ongoing collaboration with OMOD, Nordic Black Theatre and Open Xpressions Collective and have performed at various venues since our creation in 2024. Our repertoire includes soca, calypso, reggae, and world music genres, bringing authentic Caribbean sounds to diverse audiences. Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, the steel pan is the only percussion and melodic instrument created in the 20th century and is made from repurposed oil drums. 

Our ensemble features multiple steel drums of varying sizes, and intends to create the full harmonic range characteristic of the traditional steel band orchestras of Trinidad and Tobago.
