In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, Jamaica faces one of the darkest chapters in its history. Entire communities have been torn apart — homes flattened, crops destroyed, and vital infrastructure swept away. Families who once had little now have nothing. The winds and floods have not only taken lives but have also shattered the sense of security that so many Jamaicans held dear.
The people of Jamaica are struggling to rebuild amid overwhelming loss. Many remain without shelter, clean water, electricity, or access to medical care. Children are displaced, elders are without medicine, and thousands are searching for loved ones.
While there is much need for food, clothing and roof over their heads, there is also great need for medical attention and medical supplies. Jamaican Organisation in Norway has been in contact with agencies in Jamaica who is working closely other pharmaceutical partners on the ground. Providing not only medical items but also food supplies, clothing and tarpaulins for shelter, just to name a few, to some of the neediest victims of Hurricane Melissa. Melissa hit hard and the after effects will last for a long time. The task ahead to rebuild is a great challenge.

Now, more than ever, Jamaica needs the compassion of the global community. We are calling on governments, organizations, and individuals around the world to stand with the Jamaican people in this hour of need. Your support — whether through donations, supplies, or volunteer aid — can bring hope where there is despair.
Lets give the people hope and the help they need to get back on their feet again. J.O.I.N would like to ask for your support. Please give a donation. Every contribution matters. Give whatever you can afford to give, every little helps.
Each small acts of kindness become lifelines for families struggling to survive. Let us not turn away from their suffering. Lets rise together in solidarity and humanity.
Jamaica has always shared its culture, its music, its joy with the world. Today, the island that has given so much needs our help in return.
Let us help to rebuild Jamaica — stronger, together.
