On Monday, May 5, we invite you to join us for the opening of «Un-Born» by Arian Nowbahari, featuring an Artist Presentation and Short Film Screening at the Nordic Black Theatre.
Exhibition will be on display until 24th of May
Arian Nowbahari’s paintings explore themes of identity, migration, and human emotion beyond words. In his upcoming exhibition, he reflects on the emotional depth of women’s experiences through a personal and expressive lens. Influenced by Norwegian artists such as Astri Welhaven Heiberg, his work captures the complexities of feeling and memory in expressive forms.
The evening will begin with a presentation on the artistic influences and motivations behind the works, followed by a screening of the short film «Twelve Minutes», written and directed by the artist, and produced by New Spring Productions™. The film examines themes of women’s rights and immigration, connecting to the emotions expressed in his paintings.
Arian Nowbahari is an Italian film director, painter, and electronic engineer based in Oslo, with roots tracing back to Iranian/Kurdish heritage. He has exhibited in Italy and Norway, with a solo show at the Archaeological Museum of Olbia and collaborations with MAD (Movimento Arte e Design) and Kurder Kunstnere i Norge. As a filmmaker, his award-winning works have been recognized internationally. He currently works as Application Engineer (Image Quality) at Sony, and Film Production Manager at New Spring Productions™.
