Lykke til – 26-years-old Ann from Hong Kong is experiencing an intense crisis in Norway, where she has been living for the last few years with her girlfriend, Dag, in an apartment in Oslo. She cannot find a job, she has difficulties getting a visa, and if this was not enough, she is pregnant. Expectedly, her relationship is on the brink of falling apart, while she is not sure what she wants to do with the baby. Right around the doctor’s appointment, she finds out about a job application.
Alt blir bra til slutt, Ikke sant? is a drama-series about Maria, who is trapped in a psychologically abusive relationship with her boyfriend Sander. She finds security in her childhood friend Erik, who secretly harbors feelings for her. The series explores Maria’s inner struggle between the destructive and the safe, as well as challenges around love, friendship and difficult choices.
Walaac – Yousef moves into a small dormitory and will start his new life in Norway. When he is about to tell his family about his new life, he receives bad news from home – and then the connection breaks. Yousef struggles to sleep. In the middle of the night there is a knock on his door. Outside he finds a mysterious framed picture. He begins to experience strange things, and the distinction between dream and reality blurs. Walaac means anxiety in Somali, and depicts the isolation and mental turmoil many refugees feel when they are separated from their families.
