In this version of one of Ibsens most relevant plays Thomas Stockmann, a local doctor, discovers that the nearby source for drinking water is contaminated, and wishes to speak out about his findings. Soon he finds he has to struggle with the media and the local authorities to get the truth out there. Who has the power to get the majority to believe them? How can the press be free to publish uncomfortable truths? What lengths would you go to to fight for the truth if it would put your and your loved ones in danger?
